Motorcycle Accidents

head out of a car window."

Motorcycles are quickly gaining widespread appeal in today’s transportation mix, mainly because they are enjoyable, economical, fuel efficient and practical. Unfortunately, this means an increase in motorcycle wrecks, which results in thousands of injuries and deaths each year.

In contrast to the decreasing numbers of motor vehicle fatalities, motorcycle fatalities have been trending upward. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, motorcycle fatalities accounted for 13.7 percent of motor vehicle fatalities in 2010.

It is important to remember that even the most careful and experienced riders are not safe from the negligence of other drivers.
